Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie RecipeNothing beats an easy chocolate chip cookie recipe. This one is a classic that's been around for so long I couldn't even tell you it's original source. If there is a no fail cookie base this is it. Add your favorite chocolate chips and let the good times roll. My only change is to use white sugar and molasses instead of half brown sugar and half white sugar.
Preheat the oven to 375 F (190 C) if your baking the cookies now. Beat together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the extract and molasses then beat in the eggs one at a time. Add the dry ingredients until well mixed then fold in the chocolate chips. I usually use my electric mixer and then mix by hand when I add the chips. Use a scoop to make even sized cookies. Do not grease the cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes until done or freeze on sheet before wrapping. Freezing Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies If you freeze them before baking than shape and freeze them right away, if the dough sits in the fridge it will dry out and become kind of crumbly and hard to freeze. If your baking them first be sure to let the cookies cool completely before freezing. Learn more about how to freeze cookies. What Other Variations Can I Try? Find more quick easy cookie recipes.
