Use 2 tablespoons homemade mix to replace one store bought taco seasoning packet.

- 1 Tbsp (15 ml) onion powder
- 1 Tbsp (15 ml) garlic powder
- 1 tsp (5 ml) oregano

Be sure to label your taco seasoning.
What Other Variations Can I Try?
A lot of people add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to their homemade taco seasoning mix recipe. Add pepper to taste based on how much heat you can handle. This recipe is mild because I'm a wimp who doesn't like my food to make me sweat. Ever.
Cornstarch (aka corn flour in other parts of the world) is added to some recipes as a thickener. It's completely optional.
Consider adding a pinch of turmeric for a more golden yellow color.
How to Freeze
There is no need to freeze this as a dry mix but the flavor does fine in the freezer for other dishes such as:
- Ground Beef Tacos
- Easy Chicken Taco Recipe
- Black Beans
- Mexican Refried Beans
- Mexican Rice
