A simple variation from your regular 'dump' freezer meal is to cut the meat into strips before freezing.

Use the strips for flavorful stir fries, add tons of veggies and serve over rice.

Recipe Teriyaki Sauce

  • 1/4 cup sugar, white or brown
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tsp grated or minced ginger
  • 1 cloves garlic

Combine the soy sauce and sugar and whisk to combine.

If the sugar isn't dissolving, put the bowl in the microwave for a minute and try again.

Try not to overheat or boil the sauce because you don't want your raw meat to start cooking.

Once the sugar is dissolved add the garlic and ginger and you’re done.

How to Freeze
Pour teriyaki sauce into freezer bags with raw meat and remove as much air as possible before freezing.

For cooked dishes, freeze on a cookie sheet until the individual pieces are solid and then package into freezer bags.

Label, date and add to your freezer inventory.

Be sure to write the type and cut of meat on the bag and the inventory sheet.

How to Thaw
Thaw overnight in the fridge and cook as usual for the type of meat you’re using.
