Is it possible to freeze strawberries successfully? If not, then will strawberry puree keep in the freezer?
Answer: Strawberries freeze great, they just don't thaw well. So, you can flash freeze them if you're going to use them in a few month. For longer storage, depending how you plan to use them of course, you can freeze them in a syrup to help prevent freezer burn.
They can be whole, sliced or diced before flash freezing and should be eaten partially thawed so they'll still a bit firm.
You can puree fresh or thawed berries and the puree freezes great as well.
Freeze cookies ahead and enjoy them whenever you want. They stay fresher longer in the freezer than on the countertop. Consider freezing ahead for Christmas, parties, cookouts or to have a stash ready…
